Public Notes:

"Italian telescope, presumably made by Giovanni Battista Campi. Main tube covered with grey coloured sharkskin. Two green coloured drawtubes. Ferrules made of horn. Endpieces made of ivory . Unsigned, but but based on the strong resemblance to the preceding two instruments the telescope can be attributed to Campi in Genoa. Length 24-50 cm, Ø 3 cm. Third quarter of the eighteenth century" (Louwman and Zuidervaart, 2013).
